Chatra (Jharkhand), April 16 -- Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Chatra district administration to strengthen housing for Birhor families under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, officials said on Thursday.
Under the agreement, 28 Birhor families residing in Dhuna panchayat of Itkhori block will benefit from housing upgradation.
CCL will provide financial assistance of Rs 28.49 lakh to the district administration for implementation of the project.
The MoU was signed by Sanjeev Kumar, general manager of Amrapali Chandragupt area, on behalf of CCL and Manoj Toppo, district mining officer-cum-nodal officer (CSR), on behalf of the district administration.
