CCEA approves Rs 4,415-cr upgrade of NH-347B corridor in Madhya Pradesh to boost connectivity and regional growth
New Delhi, June 3 -- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs on Wednesday approved a Rs 4,415.60-crore project for the upgradation and widening of key stretches of National Highway 347B in Madhya Pradesh, a move aimed at improving connectivity, easing congestion and strengthening economic linkages across several districts of the state. Announcing the decision after the Cabinet meeting, union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the project involves the upgradation of the existing intermediate lane to a two-lane road with paved shoulders along the 125.01-km Hiwarkhedi-Roshni-Ashapur-Rudhy section and the widening of the existing two-lane Deshgaon-Julwania section to four lanes over a length of 108.643 km.
