New Delhi, July 15 -- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs on Wednesday approved two railway multi-tracking projects with an estimated cost of about Rs 3,907 crore, aimed at expanding rail capacity, improving freight movement and enhancing connectivity across Odisha and Jharkhand.
Announcing the decision after the Cabinet meeting, Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw said the projects, approved for the Ministry of Railways, are expected to be completed by 2030-31.
"The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved two projects of the Ministry of Railways with a total cost of approximately Rs 3,907 crore," Vaishnaw said.
