Bengaluru, July 2 -- CBSE students in Karnataka who secured higher Class 12 marks after the board's revaluation process say they have been left in admission limbo after the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) refused to revise their Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) ranks, a move that could cost them seats in top professional colleges and is now threatening to spill into a legal battle.

The row stems from KEA's refusal to recalculate KCET ranks using revised CBSE marks, even though the entrance rankings are determined by a 50:50 formula that gives equal weightage to KCET scores and Class 12 Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) marks.
