New Delhi, April 3 -- After being caught in yet another QR code controversy during the Class 12 board examinations, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) issued an advisory cautioning students, parents and the media against "misinformation" surrounding QR codes printed on question papers.

The board clarified that these QR codes are part of its internal system for authentication, tracking and maintaining examination integrity, and are not clickable web links.
