New Delhi, June 25 -- : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has secured the attachment of 23 properties worth approximately Rs 25 crore in connection with the Loni Urban Multi State Credit and Thrift Co-operative Society (LUCC) chit fund fraud case, officials said today.

According to the agency, the attached properties are located in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai. The CBI has so far arrested seven accused in the case.

A senior CBI official said that during the investigation, the agency identified several assets allegedly acquired by the accused using proceeds linked to the chit fund fraud.
