Panchkula, June 12 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday intensified its probe into the alleged misappropriation of public funds linked to the Haryana Government and Chandigarh Smart City Limited (CSCL) by filing two separate charge sheets in courts at Panchkula and Chandigarh.

The cases involve an alleged cumulative loss of Rs 657 crore to government entities and are among the most significant financial fraud investigations currently being handled by the agency in the region.
