New Delhi, April 8 -- A special court of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in SAS Nagar (Mohali), Punjab, has sentenced 11 individuals, including a former District Manager of the Food Corporation of India (FCI), to rigorous imprisonment for three years and also imposed a fine of Rs 3.3 lakh in a corruption case.
The court awarded the jail term to Rajesh Ranjan, then District Manager; Azad Singh, then Deputy Manager (QC); D.K. Sharma and Gian Singh, both then Assistant Managers (QC) at FCI District Office, Faridkot; Raj Kumar, R.C. Puri, Gulab Singh, Pitambir Singh, and G.P.S.
