New Delhi, June 11 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has successfully secured the deportation of a wanted cybercrime fugitive from Thailand, marking a significant achievement in international law enforcement cooperation.
Ganesh Balaso Kale arrived in Mumbai on Thursday and was taken into custody by officials of the Cyber Cell of Maharashtra Police.
According to the CBI, Kale was wanted in connection with a cyber fraud case in which victims were lured with offers of online part-time jobs. They were persuaded to deposit money as investments and were subsequently defrauded.
