Mumbai, April 16 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against a CGST superintendent and two others for alleged bribery of Rs 15 lakh in Maharashtra, officials said.
The accused have been identified as Mohit Sharma, then superintendent of CGST Thane Rural commissionerate, Uday Shivraj Kalshetty, proprietor of a private firm, and Kiran Vyas, a private person.
According to the FIR registered by CBI's Anti-Corruption Branch in Mumbai, the case is based on a complaint alleging illegal cash settlements and corruption in tax-related matters.
