New Delhi, May 7 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday arrested a Superintendent of CGST Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, along with a Computer Operator working in the Superintendent's office, in connection with a bribery case.
The CBI registered the case on Wednesday against Yash Sharma, a Computer Operator at the CGST Office, over allegations that he demanded an illegal gratification of Rs 6,000 on behalf of Sanjay Meena, Superintendent, CGST Office, Range-I, Meerut (UP), for revoking a show-cause notice issued to the complainant.
