Bhandara, Aug. 6 -- : A cattle grazer was killed in a tiger attack in the Dawedhari forest area of Tumsar tehsil in Maharashtra's Bhandara district on Thursday, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Banshilal Meshram(55), who had gone to the forest for cattle grazing when the tiger attacked him, dragged him into a forest leading to his death.
The incident took place in the Tumsar forest range when the victim had gone to graze cattle along with his wife.
The tiger suddenly emerged from the forest and attacked Meshram before dragging him away despite his wife's desperate attempts to save him.
