Cash, firearms seized across Kolkata ahead of Assembly polls
Kolkata, April 12 (UNI Ahead of the Assembly elections in Kolkata, police have intensified surveillance, seizing cash and firearms from multiple locations across the city over a 24-hour period, a senior officer said on Sunday.Between Friday evening and Saturday evening, teams attached to the police's Flying Squad (FS) intercepted vehicles at several checkpoints during naka checking operations and recovered substantial amounts of unaccounted cash.The seizures were made at around four locations, with the amount in each case ranging between Rs 4 lakh and Rs 7 lakh.
