Mumbai, June 27 -- The Global Chess League (GCL) Season 4 is set to be headlined by a compelling blend of star power and fresh talent, with five-time World Champion Magnus Carlsen returning to the franchise-based format after a season's absence, alongside the much-anticipated debut of India's rising star Divya Deshmukh.
The contrasting storylines are expected to define the Season 4 Player Draft, scheduled to be held in Mumbai on June 29, where six franchises will assemble their squads for the upcoming Bengaluru leg of the league from September 3 to 13.
