Kolkata, Sept. 7 -- A caregiver working for an agency was arrested for stealing gold jewellery from the home of an elderly couple in the Sinthi area of north Kolkata, police said on Monday.
The accused, identified as Supriya Adhikari (31), allegedly took advantage of the couple's vulnerability to commit the theft, police said.
Police arrested her on Sunday afternoon, within 24 hours of the incident, and claimed that she confessed to the theft during interrogation.
