Care for children, elderly and disabled will become powerful source of livelihood in UP: Asim Arun

Lucknow, Sept. 14 -- A historic initiative has been taken in Uttar Pradesh to create a new medium for employment generation and women's empowerment by linking the care of children, the elderly, the disabled, and the needy with organized services.

On Monday, a one-day state-level consultation workshop on "Building a Sustainable Care Economy: Recognizing Care Work, Empowering Women, and Inclusive Livelihood Opportunities" was organized under the nodal role of the Social Welfare Department.
