Dhule (Maha), Feb. 21 -- Two people sustained serious injuries after a car plunged into an under-construction culvert near Sondale village on the Dhule-Dondaicha-Songir road on Friday night.
According to initial reports, a Swift Dzire travelling from Dondaicha to Dhule veered off the road around midnight after the driver allegedly failed to see the diversion ahead. The vehicle crashed into an under-construction culvert and became lodged in the structure.
Villagers who heard the impact rushed to the scene and helped rescue the injured occupants before shifting them to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The stretch of road is currently undergoing widening work as part of a four-lane project being executed by the Public Works Department (PWD)...
