Dharwad, Sept. 1 -- Three people were killed and three others seriously injured when the car they were travelling in crashed into a road divider near Venkatapur in Dharwad taluk on National Highway in the early hours of Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Vinayak (25), Manjunath (29) and Basavaraj (34), all from Davangere.
The injured - Abhishek, Ajay and Basanagouda - were shifted to Dharwad District Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
According to police, the car was travelling from Belagavi towards Davangere and was returning towards Dharwad after the occupants had a meal at Mulla Dhaba when the driver lost control. The vehicle crashed into the road divider and overturned.
