New Delhi, Oct. 1 -- FlyDubai's Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar, who suffered grievous injuries after being stabbed by his co-pilot onboard flight FZ 1073, has been shifted to Abu Dhabi for continued medical attention and recovery, the MEA said today.
The Indian Ambassador in the UAE also met Captain Machchhar in hospital and enquired about his well being.
In a late evening statement, the MEA said that the government continues to closely follow the health condition of Captain Smit Machchhar, an Indian national and the brave pilot of FlyDubai flight FZ 1073.
"After receiving initial medical treatment in a hospital in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, he has now been shifted to Abu Dhabi for continued medical attention and recovery.
