Hyderabad, Aug. 30 -- Former Telangana Minister T Harish Rao on Sunday alleged that the Congress government was handing over Oilfed land at Azamabad to private parties at a throwaway price and demanded immediate cancellation of the allocation.
In a letter to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Harish Rao claimed that 3.23 guntas of Oilfed land at RTC Cross Roads, Azamabad, valued at around Rs 500 crore, was being allotted to private entities for Rs 87 crore, despite Oilfed being ready to purchase the land.
He alleged that the government was ignoring court verdicts and protecting private interests for commissions, while imposing restrictions on the properties of common people under the '22A' provisions.
