Birbhum, July 27 -- The Calcutta High Court on Monday granted interim bail to Trinamool Congress leader Anubrata Mondal in two separate cases involving alleged post-poll violence and a job fraud, while directing him to cooperate fully with the investigation.
The relief came after the Suri District Court had earlier refused to grant him interim protection in connection with a case registered at Santiniketan Police Station over alleged violence and looting following the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections.
Justice Tirthankar Ghosh granted Anubrata interim bail in both the post-poll loot and fraud case. Another person had lodged a case alleging that he had paid huge money to Anubrata for a primary teacher's job.
