Kolkata, Feb. 27 -- The Calcutta High Court on Friday directed the Kolkata Police to file a detailed report on allegations that leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, was heckled by a group of booth-level officers outside the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, West Bengal.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice Sujoy Paul and Justice Partha Sarathi Sen asked the city police to submit its findings by March 5.
The court was hearing a petition filed by Adhikari, who alleged that police personnel present at the spot failed to intervene when the protesting BLOs gathered at the CEO's office during his visit on Tuesday.
