Thiruvananthapuram, May 21 -- The delay in finalising the allocation of portfolios even three days after the new Kerala government assumed office is due to intense pressure from the Congress' coalition partner, the Indian union Muslim League (IUML), BJP leader V. Muraleedharan MLA alleged today.
Addressing a press conference here, he alleged that the second-most important position in the Cabinet, traditionally associated with the Home portfolio, has been allotted in the government led by V. D. Satheesan to IUML leader P. K. Kunhalikutty.
He also questioned the implications of senior leader Ramesh Chennithala being placed in what he described as the third position in the hierarchy.
