Mumbai, May 19 -- In a significant move aimed at boosting the higher education infrastructure in the state, the Maharashtra Cabinet has approved the allocation of 15 acres of land to the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation, the parent body of Amity University.

The decision was taken during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

The land, measuring approximately 15 acres, is located at Bhatan village in the Panvel taluka of Raigad district.
