Hyderabad, Sept. 28 -- A cab driver allegedly attempted to sexually assault a female passenger and fled with Rs 60,000 in cash in Shamshabad, Ranga Reddy district on Sunday night.
According to the complaint, the woman was travelling from Devarakonda, Nalgonda district to Shamshabad when the driver allegedly noticed the cash she was carrying. Near the Thondupally toll plaza, he reportedly deviated from the route and took the vehicle towards a secluded area near Kotwalguda.
The driver allegedly attempted to sexually assault the woman inside the cab. She managed to get out and raised an alarm, following which the accused fled with her bag containing Rs 60,000. With the help of locals, the woman reached the police station and lodged a complai...
