Kozhikode, July 26 -- One person was killed and several others were injured after a private limited-stop bus overturned on National Highway 66 at Kuttippuram in Kerala's Malappuram district on Sunday morning.
The injured passengers were rushed to Kuttippuram Taluk Hospital and Healfort Hospital. Three of them are reportedly in critical condition. The identity of the deceased has not yet been officially confirmed. Local residents said the person died on the spot after being thrown out of the bus onto the road due to the impact of the crash.
The private bus, which was travelling from Kozhikode to Thrissur and was carrying a full load of passengers, reportedly lost control while negotiating a rain-soaked stretch of the highway.
