Bus shortage and electric mobility policy dominate Himachal Assembly
Shimla, Sept. 2 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday said the state government would soon procure 1,000 new electric buses and 200 hydrogen buses as part of its efforts to protect the environment and promote clean public transport. Replying to a calling attention motion moved under Rule 62 by Dharampur MLA Chander Shekhar in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, Sukhu said the government had announced in its very first Budget that electric buses would be promoted in the state to reduce environmental pollution.
