Raebareli, March 26 -- All 28 passengers on board a passenger bus had a close shave when the vehicle caught fire in Raebareli district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, police said.

The accident occurred near Raipur Maheri village on the Raebareli-Pratapgarh highway. All 28 passengers jumped out of the moving bus, preventing any loss of life.

According to reports, the bus, operated by Ansar Bus Service, was travelling from Raebareli to Salon when it suddenly caught fire around 7 PM. Eyewitnesses said the flames spread rapidly, turning the bus into a ball of fire within minutes and triggering panic among passengers.
