Shravasti, March 4 -- The burnt skeletal remains of a 25-year-old woman farmer leader, Aanchal Mishra, who had been missing for 14 days, were recovered from a forest area in Shravasti district, police said on Wednesday.
Police have arrested one accused in connection with the case.
Aanchal Mishra, wife of Santosh Mishra and a resident of Bansgarhi Fattepur Bangai village, was the district president of the women's wing of a farmers' union.
She had left her home on February 17, telling her family that she was going to attend a farmers' union meeting in Bhinga. When she did not return, her family searched for her but found no clues.
