Lucknow, May 5 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), led by Mayawati who is trying to revive the organisation in Uttar Pradesh and other states, has failed to achieve anything in the just-concluded assembly elections in 5 states of Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry.

BSP had contested in 3 states of West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, but its performance was very poor.

According to reports, BSP had failed to open its account in these 3 states and its vote share was also less than 1 per cent. Incidentally, in the Bihar assembly polls held last year, BSP managed to win one seat.

Mayawati had enstrusted her nephew, Akash Anand, to lead the party in these elections but he could not make any impact.
