Agartala, May 28 -- Senior IPS officer of Tripura cadre Ms Princee Rani has been appointed as the Inspector General (IG) of BSF Tripura Frontier, following her husband's return from central deputation as a senior IAS officer of the state.
This appointment marks a significant milestone as she becomes the first woman IG in Tripura BSF, responsible for a border that spans 856 kilometres with Bangladesh. Given the evolving political landscape in both India and Bangladesh, Tripura is considered a strategically important state in India's eastern front.
