Shillong, Sept. 11 -- Director General of Border Security Force (BSF) Pankaj Kumar Singh called on Meghalaya Governor C.H. Vijayashankar at Lok Bhavan, here today.
Singh was accompanied by Inspector General of BSF, Meghalaya Frontier, Om Prakash Upadhyay.
During the meeting, Singh briefed the Governor on the various measures and actions being taken by the BSF for the protection and security of the India-Bangladesh border shared by Meghalaya and Assam.
The discussions also covered the role of the BSF in maintaining effective border security and addressing challenges along the international border.
