Patna, March 1 -- Rural Development and Transport Minister Shrawan Kumar today said that the approval of the Bihar Rural Transformation Project (BRTP)-JEEViKA-3, will provide a new impetus to women entrepreneurship and rural economic growth in the state.
The minister said here that the project has been sanctioned to consolidate and strengthen earlier initiatives implemented under the National Rural Livelihood Mission with financial assistance from the World Bank. The primary objective is to enhance productivity, create income and employment opportunities and scale up the production and marketing of goods manufactured by self-help groups (SHGs).
