BRS MLC who made remarks against Speaker should be dismissed: Minister Vivek

Hyderabad, Sept. 7 -- Telangana Labour Minister G Vivek Venkataswamy on Monday strongly condemned the conduct of BRS MLAs and MLCs during their protest at the Assembly premises and demanded the dismissal of the BRS MLC Tata Madhu who allegedly made objectionable remarks against Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar.

Speaking to reporters, Vivek said the Congress had no objection to democratic protests,but making inappropriate comments against the Speaker was unacceptable. He alleged that the remarks were made against the Speaker because he belongs to the Dalit community.

"The remarks were not directed at an individual alone but amounted to an insult to the entire Dalit community. Dalit organisations should take note of this," he said.
