Hyderabad, Sept. 8 -- Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) MLC Tata Madhu was arrested by police at his residence in the New MLA Quarters here on Tuesday morning in connection with alleged derogatory remarks against Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar.
Another BRS MLC, Naveen Kumar Reddy, was detained at his residence in Kokapet.
Police registered a case against Tata Madhu under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act following a complaint by Speaker Prasad Kumar's OSD, Pollepalli Venkatesham, alleging that the MLC had used casteist slurs and obscene language against the Speaker.
