Hanamakonda, Aug. 16 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the previous BRS government, contrasting its alleged "family rule" with the Congress government's focus on "social justice" and welfare.

Addressing the 'Praja Palana-Pragathi Baata' public meeting after launching development works worth Rs 424 crore in Parkal Assembly constituency, Revanth Reddy said Warangal had a long history of fighting against oppression and had repeatedly rejected leaders who considered themselves invincible.

The Chief Minister said the Congress government was working 18 hours a day to fulfil its promises and had spent around Rs 1 lakh crore on farmers' welfare during its 2.5-year tenure.
