Nagpur, April 4 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today stated that indigenisation of global knowledge and globalisation of Indian knowledge is the primary objective of the new education policy.
"Merely glorifying historical aspects will not make us great; along with this, we must consider present and future global challenges and accordingly give direction to our education system," he said while speaking as the chief guest at inaugural session of the national conference 'Maharashtra Gyan Sabha-2026', jointly organised at VNIT by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Gondwana University, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, IIM Nagpur and Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, New Delhi.
