Dharamsala, Sept. 14 -- Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and former union Minister Shanta Kumar on Monday hailed the successful conclusion of the BRICS meeting in India, saying it was a "historic and extraordinary success" for the country.
Reacting to Congress leader P Chidambaram's earlier remarks questioning the benefits of BRICS meetings for India, Shanta Kumar said he is pleased that party leader Shashi Tharoor has subsequently stated that the gathering of leaders with differing views on global issues in India and their deliberations will greatly benefit the country.
