New Delhi, July 23 -- BRICS Health Ministers on Thursday adopted a joint declaration committing to expand cooperation on tuberculosis research, disease surveillance, digital health, mental health and access to medicines, as India concluded the 16th BRICS Health Ministers' Meeting under its 2026 chairship in Chandigarh.
The declaration outlines a series of institutional initiatives, including a stronger BRICS TB Research Network, a regional early warning mechanism for infectious diseases, closer collaboration among drug regulators and a network of centres focused on mental wellness.
