Buenos Aires, April 10 -- Kayke Ferrari and Yuri Alberto scored second-half goals asBrazil's Corinthians cruised to a 2-0 away win over Argentine side Platense in their openingCopa Libertadores group match.

Ferrari opened the scoring in the 53rd minute when he ran onto Rodrigo Garro's through ball and lifted a shot over goalkeeper Matias Borgogno.

Garro was again the provider 17 minutes later with a perfectly weighted pass that released Alberto, who finished clinically into the far corner.

Despite having the lion's share of possession, Platense rarely threatened Corinthians' goal and managed only one shot on target.
