Bengaluru, July 1 -- Railway safety authorities have directed the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) to conduct a comprehensive probe into all reported Metro service disruptions over the past three years, following a representation by BJP MP Tejasvi Surya highlighting recurring technical failures in the city's Metro network.

The direction was issued by the Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety (CCRS) after Surya, in a letter dated June 25, sought an independent review of repeated service disruptions, particularly after the June 23 breakdown on the Purple Line that severely affected commuters.
