Morocco will now face Canada in the Round of 16 after producing another memorable World Cup performance built on resilience and composure under pressure.
The Netherlands appeared to have one foot in the knockout stage when Cody Gakpo broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute, finishing smartly beneath Bounou after the Dutch finally found a way through Morocco's disciplined defence.
