Jammu, Oct. 26 -- union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh today said that the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir have come a long way on the path of development since 2014.
Recalling the challenges faced by residents earlier, he said that several areas suffered from inadequate road connectivity, lack of mobile communication infrastructure and limited access to basic amenities.
Speaking after inaugurating an Easy Business Unit at Village Chakra in Hiranagar, Kathua, to facilitate access to banking services for the local population, he said that the facility is aimed at bringing banking services closer to residents and enabling convenient access to financial transactions, government welfare schemes and digital banking facilities.
