Puducherry, April 11 -- The Odeansalai police have registered a case against a booth agent on charges of using cell phone inside the polling booth in the April 9 Puducherry Assembly elections.
At a time when a standing instruction of the election department said that none should use cell phones inside the polling booths, Rajesh (25) of Lawspet here who was the booth agent for booth number 4 at Orleanpet was seen using his mobile phone inside the booth.
On this presiding officer Bhagyalakshmi handed him over to the police who registered a case.
