Hassan (Karnataka), June 30 -- Booker Prize-winning Kannada author Banu Mushtaq on Tuesday rejected apprehensions surrounding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls after personally completing the enumeration process, saying her firsthand experience dispelled the impression that the exercise was intended to harass voters.

Launching the SIR exercise in Hassan district from her residence, Mushtaq said criticism by political leaders and activists had led her to expect a cumbersome and intimidating process.
