Hyderabad, Aug. 2 -- The annual Bonalu festivities commenced with religious fervour at the historic Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad on Sunday, as thousands of devotees thronged the shrine to offer prayers and Bonam to the presiding deity.
The temple was beautifully decorated for the occasion, creating a vibrant spiritual atmosphere as devotees chanted hymns in praise of Goddess Mahankali.
On behalf of the Telangana Government, Transport, BC Welfare and Hyderabad In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, accompanied by his wife, offered the ceremonial first Bonam to the goddess and performed special pujas, formally marking the beginning of the celebrations.
