Bengaluru, April 1 -- The political sparring between Karnataka's ruling Congress and the Opposition intensified on Wednesday, with former Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai accusing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of attempting to deflect attention from governance and financial challenges by blaming Members of Parliament.
Responding to the Chief Minister's recent press statement, Bommai alleged that the state government was shifting responsibility to MPs to "cover up" its own administrative and fiscal shortcomings, while asserting that key financial frameworks and funding mechanisms involving the Centre were being misrepresented.
