Nagpur, April 20 -- The Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court on Monday dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking recovery of the cost of 'Z Plus' VVIP security provided to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its chief Mohan Bhagwat from the latter himself.
The petition contended that the expenses incurred on the high-level security cover were being borne by the public exchequer, despite the RSS not being a registered organization.
It urged that the cost should be recovered from the concerned individual.
The PIL was filed by Nagpur-based social activist Lalan Kishor Singh through Advocate Ashwin Ingole.
