In a major win for common people, the Bombay High Court has thrown out the port authority's controversial plan to slap tenants with heavy, backdated rent bills spanning across a decade from 2012 to 2022.
For a long time, tenants spread across areas from Colaba to Sewri were stressing over sudden demands for extra rent and arrears running into crores of rupees.
