Mumbai, June 12 -- The Bombay High Court Friday issued notice to the National Investigation Agency on a plea moved by alleged Maoist activist-poet P Varavara Rao, an accused in the Bhima Koregaon-Elgar Parishad case, to allow him to permanently relocate from Mumbai to Hyderabad.
The division bench of Justices Ajey Gadkari and Kamal Khata directed NIA to file its reply and listed the matter for hearing after two weeks.
Rao (85) was arrested in 2018. but was granted temporary bail of six months on medical grounds by the Bombay High Court in March 2021.
